Counselling style

I have a person-centered counselling approach. This acknowledges that the relationship between the therapist and client is central in aiding understanding and forward movement. I draw from humanistic counselling approaches such as existential psychotherapy and gestalt therapy

My background

I have a background in the dual areas of education and counselling. I have worked in schools for 26 years, and as a lecturer at university for 8 years and in counselling adults, young adults, parents and teens for 16 years.

My commitment

I have a continuing commitment to life-long learning and a commitment to provide the best and most informed service to those seeking assistance. As well as qualifications and experience in the areas of counselling, psychotherapy and education, I continue to avail of numerous personal and professional development courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and lecture series as well as ongoing supervision
